Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC – BarcelonaTECH) is a public institution dedicated to higher education and research, mainly specialised in the fields of engineering, architecture and technology in six campus around Catalunya.
The main studies are:

According to the QS top 100 under 50 Rankings (2015-16), UPC BarcelonaTECH is the top 28 worldwide, the top 10th European and the 1st Spanish Technical University and holds an extensive management expertise in EU-funded research projects.
Forty two departments, 205 research groups, 11 TECNIO network research centres, and 18 specific research centres are part of the UPC with 3,015 teaching and research staff members. During the 2015-2016 academic year the UPC had 979 new agreements and research projects, published 2,277 articles in scientific journals and delivered 47 patents.
The UPC will participate in the project through a team based on the expertise of four researchers in the space, project and business models fields. This expertise will allow the team to lead the specific work package in market oriented analysis.
One of the members of the team, Dr. Garcia-Almiñana, has an extensive experience in European Commission Projects since FP4 and has participated in several projects since 1994. In 2006 he also started to develop activities in the evaluation and review of FP7 projects. Another member of the team, Dr. Rodriguez-Donaire has also extensive experience in consultancy for the development of business models in SMEs. Another member of the team, Dr. Sureda has also an extensive experience in space market and applied technology. The last member of the team, Dr. Roca has also an extensive experience in project and team management.
