Today, the 3U satellite SOAR was shipped of safely from GomSpace HQ in Aalborg. This marks a successfully “FAR: Flight Readiness Review”. SOAR will start it´s trip to Texas, USA to be launched in May 2021 with SpX.
The goal of the satellite is to do aerodynamic experiments. The payloads were developed by The University of Manchester and University of London. SOAR is a part of the Discoverer project and received funding from the European Union´s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
